Our Community

UPDATE: We are pleased to announce that our 2017 annual shoe drive collected over 950 pairs of shoes! Thank you to everyone who supported Sharing with Shoes benefiting A Child's Place! We couldn't have done that without the support of our community. Thank you!

Krusch Law, PLLC is proud to announce its 7th annual Sharing With Shoes charity event and shoe drive will run from October 26th - November 9th, 2017. There are approximately 4,000 children who attend Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools who are identified as homeless. Every pair of shoes we collect will go to these children through A Child’s Place. Shoes may be a small thing, but they will make a much larger impact on these children’s lives.

We know that homelessness impacts children in many ways. They often fall two to three grade levels behind their peers and are three times more likely to experience high levels of fear and anxiety that something bad will happen to them or their family. These children have more challenges than an average school child. They have challenges most of us will never understand.

A Child’s Place, a local non-profit, assists students who attend Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. They see firsthand what these children lack. A Child’s Place will distribute the new athletic shoes we collect to these children. They will own something new and their feet will be warm during the upcoming winter months.

Sharing With Shoes has grown in the past 6 years and we are proud to have partners like Orly Shoe Corporation to generously help us with this drive. Orly Shoe Corporation has made it even easier to donate shoes since 2015. As a result in 2016, we were able to donate over 800 pairs of new shoes for these children.
