Science, Decision-Making and Cold Feet
A new study by UCLA psychologists is the first to examine premarital cold
feet – the concept of having doubts before getting married –
and its effects on the longevity of marriages. The study focuses on whether
those premarital jitters people often experience should be heeded or ignored,
and the consequences of making those big, life-changing decisions like
marriage or
separation. Check out the review of the study
here, which includes this line: “Doubts don’t evaporate; they’re
suppressed, only to return later.”
