Thom Hall, Paralegal

I have been working for Krusch and Sellers, P.A since January of 2004. Before working at Krusch and Sellers, P.A., I spent several years working for a generalpractice law firm and a real estate law firm. I find working in family law to be the most rewarding. Our clients are going through the toughest time of their lives. Knowing that easing their worries, and assuring them that our firm is behind them every step of the way is very gratifying.

I was born in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. I began my education with an Associate's Degree in Paralegal Technology from Caldwell Community College. I went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Gardner-Webb University, during which time I was inducted into the Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society. In 2007, I completed the requirements by the North Carolina State Bar to be certified as a North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal. Currently I am pursuing my MBA, also at Gardner-Webb University. By far though, my great accomplishment is being the father of two wonderful children with my lovely wife of almost twenty years.

I was born in Charlotte, NC and one of the few 'Charlotteans' you will find. I received my Paralegal Technology Associates Degree from Central Piedmont Community College in December 2004. In May 2005, I began working for Krusch & Sellers, PA and have learned many things about family law including things about myself and what I am capable of. I enjoy my position at Krusch & Sellers, PA and feel that I make a difference in the people we assist. My parents are refugees from Laos, located in Southeast Asia, and without their love and support, I would not be the person I am today.

Claire Cox Krusch, Director of Marketing and Human Resources

When I am asked how long I have been employed with Krusch & Sellers as the Director of Marketing and Human Resources, I teasingly tell people since 1974. That is the year Alan became a law student at the University of Miami School of Law. I would type papers and briefs for Alan on my little portable typewriter. Remember, this was the pre-computer era.

Starting with day one of law school, I learned that future attorneys had to study long and study hard. That can also create a challenge for the law spouse.

Through the law school, there was an organization where law spouses could get support with social functions and with learning legal issues. Seminars were conducted and often taught by the same professors that the law students had. Dean Soia Mentschikoff was often a speaker. Dean Mentschikoff was a former professor at Harvard Law School and taught there even before women were admitted as students. She was extremely supportive of the law spouse and knew it was a lonely existence sometimes.
I learned a great deal from the dean and law professors.

When the law firm of Alan R. Krusch was founded in April 2000, I became the office manager. As the firm continues to grow, so does my commitment and my role as Director of Marketing and Human Resources.

Presently, I am enrolled in the leadership and professional development program at Central Piedmont Community College. I will receive my certification for Human Resources after completing 74 hours of course work.

Marketing is one of my favorite aspects of this position. I enjoy begin creative when it comes to assisting with our website, brochures, newsletters, business cards, marketing the firm, and I feel most importantly, being of assistance to our clients.

I enjoy being part of a team that works for the common good: the well-being of our clients and their families.
